Welcome
to Insane Revelation
This
site is all about the transfer of ideas. It's about
discussion, laughter, debate, digging deep and searching
for more than what lies on the surface. It's about
finding answers in the least likely passages and seeing
God's beauty in the strangest places. I am a Christian,
however, I'm not your typical, garden variety Christian...I
am politically liberal and sarcastic. I have the audacity
to think Jesus shows up on Sunday mornings without
fog machines and $40,000 sound systems. I would much
rather listen to Springsteen than certain mainstream
Christian artists. I am humbled by the presence of
God in my life...and while I am not the woman you picture
at the church ladies tea - my passion, fascination,
appreciation and love for Jesus is just as strong as
anyone fluent in "Christianese". SO,
I believe it is in absolute "sane" revelation
that this site is dedicated to those who don't quite
fit in at "regular" church, who feel cast
out, or as if they don't measure up or belong...this
is all about the sharing of insights and ideas for
His glory and love. As it was in the beginning, groups
of believers talking and sharing, investing in one
another's lives with their hearts and souls. Feel
free to check out my blog (click on the button to the
right). Add a comment if you wish...your insight, stories,
laughter and perspective...we can all learn so much
from one another!
Where
My Mind Is Lately
Lately,
I have been thinking an awful lot about what it means
to follow Jesus. What it means to be a Disciple. What
it means to belong to His Church. I have been feeling
somewhat uneasy at church lately, as if something is
simply not right...I have also been doing some reading
and research -I am finding that the Western Church
is falling far short of what I believe Paul describes
in ACTS. I have no answers, but I have tons of questions...and
I suppose that is what I like best about prayer...I
can send my questions directly to the Big Guy!
Arrogance
I
seem to be bumping into "arrogance" everywhere I go...and,
unfortunatley, in circles where there should be anything
but arrogance.
I am not really all that surprised, but it cracks
me up when people try so very hard to make sure the
world knows they are exceptional..that they are number
one. Jesus seemed pretty clear on the whole "last
will be first and first will be last in His Kingdom"
deal...I am just as guilty as everyone else...but
I am going to attempt "humble" in more deliberate
and evident ways.
